About

Hearts is a friendly netball club, playing in Winter and Spring competitions at Southern Districts Netball Association, located in Langford. We encourage our players to have fun and try their best, while developing their skills and making new friends.

Our club is run by a committee and made up of parents and siblings, current and ex-players, and most importantly, netball enthusiasts. The committee strive to provide fun and smoothly-running seasons for our players, parents and coaches, and are always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Because we want the best for all of our players, we strongly encourage our coaches to attend coaching clinics and skills sessions, and have a mentoring system in place for those who would like to give coaching a shot but are not quite ready to go off on their own.

Similarly, we encourage our junior players to learn how to umpire; first by attending the Association’s umpiring course and then by signing up to umpire for the club. We have an umpire roster that rotates between the Netta and Sun-Junior teams which allows the new umpires to umpire different age groups and find where they feel most comfortable.
